The 6 Weeks in Detail

A new topic each week – building on each other until your finished project.

Week 1 Jul 28, 2026

Foundations – Understanding n8n

Master the fundamentals so the rest of the course flows smoothly.

  • How n8n thinks: Nodes, Connections, Triggers, Data Flow
  • Expressions & Variables – passing data between nodes
  • Understanding JSON (no fear required)
  • Different trigger types: Webhook, Schedule, App Trigger
Hands-on: Build a multi-step flow (e.g., Form → Transform Data → Send Email)
Week 2 Aug 4, 2026

Understanding & Using AI Models

Which model for which job? How do you talk to an AI so it does what you want?

  • Overview: GPT, Gemini, Claude, Open Source (Llama, Mistral)
  • When to use Text, Vision, or Embeddings?
  • Understanding costs & rate limits
  • Prompting fundamentals: System Prompt, Few-Shot, Chain of Thought
  • AI Nodes in n8n: Configuration & Best Practices
Hands-on: Test different models on the same task and compare results
Week 3 Aug 11, 2026

Multi-System Integrations

Connecting multiple tools – this is where the real magic happens.

  • API basics for non-techies: What is a token, a webhook, an endpoint?
  • Common integrations: Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, CRM, Calendar
  • Data mapping: Mapping fields from System A to System B
  • Webhooks as a universal trigger
  • When do I need the HTTP Node vs. a native node?
Hands-on: Build a workflow connecting 3+ systems (e.g., Typeform → AI Analysis → Notion + Slack)
Week 4 Aug 18, 2026

Data Privacy & Compliance

What can I automate? What do I need to consider when AI meets personal data?

  • GDPR basics for AI usage: Which data goes where?
  • Cloud vs. Self-Hosted: When is what appropriate?
  • Data Processing Agreements: When do I need a DPA?
  • Practical checklist: "Am I allowed to automate this?"
  • Anonymization & pseudonymization in workflows
Hands-on: Make an existing workflow GDPR-compliant (filter data, anonymize, adjust logging)
Week 5 Aug 25, 2026

Error Handling & Monitoring

Automations that run reliably – even when things go wrong.

  • What happens when a node fails? Error workflows in n8n
  • Retry logic: When and how often to retry?
  • Error notifications (Slack, Email)
  • Reading and understanding the execution log
  • Debugging strategies: Where is the bug?
Hands-on: Build a robust workflow with error branch, retry, and alerting
Week 6 Sep 1, 2026

Your Own Projects & Demo Day

Bring it all together. Everyone presents their finished workflow.

  • Brief input: Maintenance & further development
  • Main part: Group work – final touches on your own project
  • Demo Day: Everyone shows their workflow (5 min per person)
  • Peer feedback: What's great, what could be improved?
  • Outlook: What's next? Resources, community, advanced topics
Hands-on: Present your own project to the group
